Our clients are traditional 3 generation farmers in the Kojonup region of WA and their collective agricultural knowledge over these many years supported the fact that annual rainfall in the region was slowly declining. Relying on catchment dams and surface water was never going to be able to maintain their ongoing farm requirements for stock water and crop spraying.
Water was an essential resource they had to manage effectively so they turned to ground water where they knew of sustainable good yielding bores on their property however, they were all very saline water sources.
This is where AWS comes in. We installed our DF48 Iron Removal Filter which removes high levels of dissolved iron, gases and suspended particles. It has been used as a pre-treatment stage before the Reverse Osmosis WTP. Investing in effective treatment to remove the iron and the salt mean they now have secured a sustainable water management program to supply all the water they needed for stock retention and cropping needs well into the future.
